We tend to forget that computers are very complex machines. They have intricate components and have evolved tremendously over the past couple decades. After all, though, we do run into constant problems. In the past we have turned to our warranties or computer-savvy friends or even the manufacturer but now Windows is offering a quick fix to some of the most common problems: FixWin.
FixWin is a freeware portable utility that can repair and fix approximately 50 common Windows problems. Instead of exploring the Registry, or other intricate areas of your system, FixWin recognizes and organizes errors into five categories: Windows Explorer, Internet & Connectivity, Windows Media, System Tools and Misc Additional Fixes. Each problem is displayed with a short description of the error and a simple click of a "Fix" button repairs it.
FixWin also recognizes whether or not your system runs with Windows 7 or Windows Vista and runs the application accordingly.
Too good to be true? The application also provides a System Restore option before making any drastic changes.
