    Canon has announced significant updates to the FX305 and XF 300 professional series camcorders with their upcoming firmware release. Shooting 3D video of professional quality has not been cheap but with this firmware update Canon brings the price of shooting professional quality 3D video to a more reasonable level. The new firmware update will provide the ability to automatically align lens and zoom settings for two separate video cameras providing easy configuration for professional quality 3D HD video.  An additional notable update with the new firmware is the ability for double memory slot recording allowing for relay recording or instant backup.
